Ask a new question
If the client has still not found the information they want, they will want to submit a new question. To do this they can click on the Ask new question link in the header bar of any RefTracker page, or on the RefTracker client home page. Of course they could also have done this directly without searching the knowledge base first!
The Ask new question page provides a list of the forms that are “Generally” available in your system (that you want clients to be able to easily find). If you only have one form that is available for “General” client use, calls to this page will go directly to that form.
If the user enters any incorrect client interface URL, they will be taken to this “Ask a new question” (reft120) page where they will be able to select an appropriate request form to use. This is also a part of RefTracker’s many defences against hackers and spammers. Any attempt to submit malicious code through the URL string will result in display of this “Ask a new question” which will thwart the intentions of the hacker/spammer.
Exercise:
Locate the header bar at the top of the screen and click on Ask new Question.
