Summary of the types of Requests that can be submitted

As part of the function of setting up your RefTracker system, your System administrator will have created Request forms for each of the different sort of requests that are accepted by your organisation.
If your System administrator has defined more than one type of request that can be used in the client interface for the location through which this client has entered, then clicking on Ask new question will provide a display of all of the different sorts of questions that can be asked as shown in the screen print above (forms are displayed in this screen in the order specified in the System>Request form summary>Requester service page).
If only one Request type is defined for this location, then clicking on Ask new question will take you directly to the question input form for that single Request type – the screen shown in the screen print displayed above will not appear.
If this page displays, your system administrator will have designed each of the forms accessible from this screen to ask all the appropriate reference interview questions for the particular type of question indicated. This means that these forms can be as simple or as complex as is determined by each individual type of question that your service accepts.
Note that the Comments function provided through the header bar, and on the Client interface home page is provided by a Request form (the COMMENT) request form, just as the Request types displayed on this page are. You use it in exactly the same way as we will be showing in this manual, for the other forms available from this page.
Exercise
As each form is designed differently, how to fill each form is different, but the form will have been designed with enough textual instructions included in it to ensure anyone can use it effectively.
As an exercise you should choose one of these Request types from the display you are seeing by clicking on its name, and then go about filling it out using your own email address at the client email address.
In this manual we will examine two sample forms as examples.
