To begin the exercises in this manual

Load the client interface of the training system that your library will be using, by typing the URL provided to you by your trainer, into the address line of your browser. If you are using this training as self-paced training in conjunction with your live RefTracker system, ask your system administrator for the most appropriate URL to use for your training (usually something like http://<yourservername>/reftracker which is the URL for the RefTracker client interface welcome page).
By using the main client welcome page URL in this way, we can examine all of the functions provided by your client interface, no matter how it has been linked into your library’s web pages.
Note that your library can customise its RefTracker client interface to meet its own specific needs. Your RefTracker System administrator may have taken advantage of this feature, which might mean that some of the features covered by this training are not available in your library’s RefTracker client interface, and the header and footer used by your system may be different.
