Reminder background process

The Reminder background process supports the Reminders and holds function by creating Reminder emails when they are due to be created, and moving requests to and from the “On hold” list at the appropriate time. 

As usual, the process has been set up with default values that will suit most customers, but you can see them at System>Batch process menu>Background processing>Reminders.

There are no parameters that you can change.  The schedule is set to run every 5 minutes and although it can be changed, we advise that this is the optimal period at which it should run.

The Process log tab shows how many reminder emails were sent each time this process runs (how many reminder processes were “Completed”).
