Customising request forms and inserting them in your web pages

The design of Request forms is controlled by you using the functions under Systems>Request forms summary. The form layout uses proportional spacing which means that it will appropriately reformat itself to fit the size of the screen it is being displayed in – even on the small screens of smart phones where its responsive design features mean it reformats to a touch friendly shape.

CSS files controls the colours used – change at Utilities>Administration utilities>Colouor scheme editor or by downloading and manually editing the css file.

Images used in the request forms are the bullet selected at parameter 3.28, the required image selected at parameter 3.24. To provide your own versions of these images upload.gif your image (must be .gif, .png, or .jpg and no bigger than 16×16 pixels to the images/local directory using System>Utilities>Administration utilities>File upload/download then select your newly uploaded image at System>Parameters>3) Formatting.

To allow announcements (such as emergency service closures, or information about upcoming public holidays) to be easily published to your Request answering service end users, the text specified in the file selected at parameter 4.10 will appear in a banner at the top of this screen if “All request forms” is selected at parameter 4.11.

You can choose to display the forms using the normal RefTracker header (with your own logo’s), without any header at all, or with a customised header (and footer).
