Customising the text used in RefTracker
No matter what language/s you use in RefTracker, you can adjust the text that you are seeing on the RefTracker screens (both staff and client screens). Yes, you can even change the language used in the English version of RefTracker to reflect the terminology that you use!
For example, you may want to change the examples that are provided in the information text at the top of the Client interface Knowledge base search screen. To change a piece of text go to System>Utilities>Administration utilities>Literal editor and use the search mechanism in that screen to search for the text that you want to modify. For the text that you change, RefTracker creates a local version of the standard text, which is used in preference to the standard text. Additionally, some text is changed in the Request forms, Data dictionary and Code tables. If you are having trouble finding the text you want to change consult with your RefTracker support representative.
If you want to provide a translation of a selected piece of text, select the language for which you want to provide the translation from the line above the footer, and provide the translation in the translated version of the screen that then displays. For full details of how to use the Literal editor, see the section entitled Literal editor in the Utilities, Administration utilities section of this manual, and the next section about Language localisation.
