Access at the Welcome screen

Where the library provides a generic entry to their reference services such as described in the previous section, the email service link would usually be hyperlinked to the RefTracker Welcome page as shown above (though there is no reason why it could not be linked to any of the alternative entry points discussed in the following sections).
By linking it to this welcome page, clients are given the opportunity to read the Service description information, and to Search the knowledge base before submitting a question.
The URL that you need to specify to link to this page is:
http://<yourRefTrackerDomain>?cllcid=<clientLocationKey>
where ClientLocationKey is the code recorded in the RefTracker Locations function for the client Location that you want the client to be accessing from this point. If you do not supply a client location key parameter (which is most often the case), the system will use the default Client location as defined in your System>Locations table, because the system must know which client location the client is from in order to be able to present them with the correct selection of Request forms (question types) for that location, and send their requests to the right staff (service) location. Of course any choice of Client location that is made in a Request form will override the current client location for the rest of that client’s session.
