Request forms and the staff interface

Request forms are also used in the staff interface. When you click on New or KB new in the main functions header bar, you are automatically presented with the Request form you have chosen as your preferred form in your My preferences.
Notice that when staff are presented with a Request form, it is surrounded by the opportunity to amend Receipt information (above), and the opportunity to amend Allocation information (below). However, in the centre is the Request form, just as you defined it, and just as it is seen by the client (if you allow this same form to also be seen by clients).
From the Request forms drop down list (the first line in each of the New and KB new screens), or from the main menu drop down list under New, staff can choose any of the other Request forms that have been defined as available for use in that screen at this staff member’s location, and for their permission level, as controlled by the Edit options setting for each particular Request form (see later in this manual for details of how to set the Request forms parameters that control all of this).
You should ensure that there are Request forms provided in your system for every Request type for which full details of a question will need to be entered.
