Request forms – Display screen

Display mode provides a summary of how your form has been designed, all in one screen.
If you want to copy some features of one form, to another form, print the Display screen and you will have a ready reference of what you need to set up. Similarly if you want to create a form similar to one you have seen in someone else’s RefTracker system e.g. the RefTracker playground system (see the RefTracker support site accessible from System>Utilities) where a wider range of examples are provided as examples, obtain a copy of the Display screen for that form.
However, possibly the most important aspect of the Display screen is that it shows the RefTracker variables that are used in your form. These variables are required to create the Item Summary, Key attributes, Email templates, Print templates, and data importing maps, when you need to create any of these things, and having them provided here in the Display screen makes them much easier to find than looking in the Data dictionary!
Exercise:
In the Mode drop down select Display and review what you are shown.
