Staff help by page
Main menu for staff
This page is the home page for RefTracker staff functions. There are some functions that are ONLY available from this page, such as My preferences, and the Staff guidelines and Hints and Tips.
The intelligent header on each staff page, including this one, provides access to the major functions of RefTracker including to the Question actions functions.
Use the Home link in the header Function bar to return to this page if you need to use the information on this page, or any of the functions provided only from this page.
You will soon become familiar with where to find functions in the header and in this main menu, and be able to move about RefTracker with ease.
A symbol next to the My preferences link in this page indicates whether you are currently set to Available (accepting questions from RefTracker), or not – normally the “page with a green dot” symbol means you are currently set to Available, and the “page with a red dot” symbol means you are unavailable. Click on the My preferences link to change your Availability.
A handy Open questions counts summary is also provided on this main menu page, if there are any questions in your system. The numbers indicate all questions in the system still requiring some attention including all open questions and questions that have been referred to a supervisor for review. To see more details of the questions being summarised here, click the hyperlinked question type name.
If there are any DeskStats recorded for your location today, a Today’s DeskStats summary also appears in this page. To give you an idea of volume at your service point, this summary shows the total DeskStats recorded by you today, and the total DeskStats recorded by anyone at your Location.
If you have not used the staff functions of RefTracker before, please take the time to read the information provided for staff in this manual (click here to access the Staff manual, or access it from the header bar link in this Help system).
We value your comments, so please advise your System administrator if you have any suggestions that would improve the way in which you can interface with this system, the way the system interfaces with you, or the way in which it manages client/end user correspondence and expectations.
