CSS Editor

The Colour scheme editor allows the css colour set in use by your staff and client interfaces to be selected and a new colour set to be created and modified when required.  If you need more extensive changes to your client interface you should create a header file and custom head.inc file with custom css  (see Header, Footer and colour customisation for the client interface)

CSS colour set created and modified in this way is automatically upgraded when future releases are issued.

The Colour scheme editor function is accessible under System >Utilities >Administration utilities > Colour scheme editor.

To change the colour set in use select the colour set you want to use from the “Active colour scheme” drop down and click “Set”.

To use this function to create a custom colour set:

Go to the Global tab.  If you choose new colours in the custom colour column, they will replace all uses of the default colour on that line, throughout the staff and client interface. You can change individual colours in individual places by changing them in the other tabs, but global changes should be satisfactory for most customers.

Select your new colours by clicking the down arrow and entering the HTML, RGB or hex colours in the spaces provided.  You can also select a colour and tone or web safe colours using other tabs.

To clear your custom colour choice and go back to the default colour click the harlequin box with the red line through it.

When your edited colours are ready, use “Save change” to save them, and select “Custom ” at “Active colour scheme” and “Set” to put the custom colours into action.  Not all colour changes will show without logging out and back in.
