Changing attributes of a question such as advising a delay

Where an attribute of a question needs to be changed, you need to use the Change screen.  The Change screen not only allows data saved in relation to the question to be changed, but it also allows for correspondence with the client to let them know about the change.

If you choose to send an email to the client from the Change screen, it sends the same email as the Inform client function, so be sure to include everything that you want to tell the client in the text of your message.

For example, a common thing you might use this for is to let the client know about a changed Target date.  To change a Target date you change the Last useful date, or Objective response date (according to how Target date is being set for your system), in the Change screen.  To let the client know about this change tick the “Send email to client” option in the Change screen, and insert your message to the client.  Be sure to include everything you want the client to know in your message as nothing is automatically included in that email about the changes that you made in the Change screen.
