Copyright declaration workflow type

The Copyright declaration workflow uses the Auto QuickText function to send a standard piece of text to the client for them to complete and return, using an email template specific to that purpose.
The Auto QuickText is defined in the QuickText code table and can be amended to suit your needs.  Similarly, the refm506 email template contains specific instructions about how to deal with copyright form return, and can be customised to meet your specific needs.  It also sets the status of the question to “Copyright declaration” to indicate that the question is waiting for the copyright declaration to be returned.

If you do not need this process for asking clients to acknowledge their copyright obligations, you can amend the Auto QuickText for the Copyright function and the refm506 email template to suit any other similar need where a form needs to be returned.

When you select Copyright declaration the Auto QuickText for the Copyright function is inserted as the screen is displayed:

When you click Save or Save & send an email specific to this function is sent to the client, and the status of the question (as shows in Open questions), goes to “Copyright Declaration”, clearly indicating that the question is waiting on the Copyright statement to be returned.

The distribution email that goes to the client as a result of this Copyright workflow is similar to this:
