Delete question

The Delete question function is accessed from the Actions screen or menu list by System administrators only – it does not appear for other levels of user as deleting questions removes the statistics for them. Other levels of users who think a question should be deleted should reallocate it to their system administrator (or their System administrator can grant access to that Function in that users signon).

Questions should only be deleted when it is appropriate for the statistics for them to also be deleted.

Primary questions (with linked questions or internal tasks attached) cannot be deleted until the attached questions have been deleted.

This function only allows the individual question to be deleted. Administrators can also delete questions, individually or in bulk, using Systems>Utilities>Delete records.

If you want the statistics for this question to remain, you should use “Close without client contact” or “Reject” rather than Delete question.

Exercise

To use this screen to delete the question summarised at the top of the screen simply change the “Delete question?” radio button to Yes, and click Submit, and the displayed question will be deleted – Beware that when a question is deleted it, it is completely gone which means that the statistics for it are also removed. Only delete a question if you really do not want any record of it in your system.
