Amending user signons – using the Edit function

Although most users can amend their own signons at any time using My preferences, there will be times when, Supervisors or System administrators need to amend a signon for the user, as some parameters and functions are only able to be changed by Supervisors and above.

The Edit function is provided for this purpose. You can edit a signon by clicking on the radio button next to the signon that you want to amend, and then clicking on the Edit button, or you can simply click on the name of the user in the System>Users-Full or ServicePoint screens.

You will then be presented with the Edit staff details page with the Contact details tab showing so that you can make any changes that need to be made.

If you change the user’s email address they will receive a notification email containing a link that they need to click to verify that this is their correct email address.

If you change a full user’s password, they will receive an email advising them that their password has been changed.  It will not provide the new password.  You need to provide that separately.

Click on Update to save your change when you have made all of the changes that you need to make.
