The importance of signons

Staff users require signons so that the system knows who is signed on, can accurately attribute work done, and can present the preferences of that particular staff member. Signons also control access to the system of course, and so have associated passwords. Password management (frequency of changes and strength of the password used) can be applied using parameters 9.31-34.

There are two types of staff signon – Full and ServicePoint- to cope with the two broad types of staff users supported.
